PuffOff reminders missing: check app and iPhone settings
Check PuffOff’s notification preference, iPhone permission and delivery filters without confusing a reminder with emergency support.

Describe which reminder is missing
Start with the kind of message you expected: morning motivation, an evening check-in or a milestone after your quit date. Note the date, whether a message was visible in Notification Centre and whether you recently changed app settings. One missing banner does not establish that all reminders are disabled.

Open PuffOff’s app settings and inspect its notification toggle. Enabling it requests notification permission and refreshes the reminder plan. The plan requires both an enabled app preference and a system permission that allows notifications. These are separate controls: changing one does not automatically prove that the other is enabled.
Inspect iPhone permission and presentation
In iPhone settings, find Notifications and PuffOff, then inspect its permission and alert options. Also check whether an active Focus silences the app or a scheduled summary changes when you see its messages. Apple documents these presentation controls. A message can be filtered from immediate alerts, so inspect Notification Centre as well as the lock screen.

Understand the programmed times and milestones
PuffOff schedules morning messages for 9:00 and evening check-ins for 21:00. Those are programmed times, not guaranteed delivery times. Milestone reminders depend on the recorded quit date and are scheduled only when their target time is still in the future. A milestone whose time has already passed is not automatically recreated as an overdue reminder.
Try one planned check rather than repeated toggling
After checking both settings, leave the preference in the state you actually want and observe the next relevant reminder. Write down what you changed and what appeared. Do not keep changing the quit date to test messages: it also changes the milestone reference. This procedure does not guarantee notifications under every background, Focus or device condition.
Keep reminders in their proper role
Use a reminder as a prompt to open your plan or record a check-in when convenient. An absent reminder does not invalidate your progress, and a delivered reminder is not evidence that someone is monitoring you. PuffOff is habit support, not emergency assistance or medication advice.

Does enabling PuffOff’s toggle guarantee a banner?
No. System permission, alert presentation and Focus or summary settings also matter. A programmed time is not a guaranteed delivery time.
Why did an old milestone not appear after I enabled reminders?
Milestone scheduling uses the recorded quit date and adds future milestones. It does not automatically replay every milestone whose target time has passed.
