An AI photo prompt comparison sheet: change one variable

Compare two versions of a prompt while recording the generator and settings you used.

Start from a saved scene

Choose a prompt close to the image you want and keep its original text. LarpGPT offers scenes to browse, favourites and text you can copy into a separate image generator. It does not create the image itself. Before testing, check the generator’s current terms, costs and available settings. Your comparison should fit the tools and access you already have, rather than requiring another subscription.

Six worked photo prompt examples, and why each line is there

Write one question

Make the question visible: does moving the light to the side produce the lighting I want? That is more useful than asking which entire prompt is better. Give the two versions short labels, such as original and side light. Leave the subject, place, framing and other wording unchanged for this comparison. If your question concerns framing instead, change framing and leave the lighting description alone.

Keep a copy of both texts

When you adjust a scene in LarpGPT, read the rewritten prompt before copying it. Check whether the change affected any details beyond the one you intended. Save the actual text submitted to the generator, not just a summary such as warmer light. This makes an unexpected result easier to examine later and gives you a working example you can adapt without rebuilding the scene from memory.

Record the generation conditions

Alongside each text, note the generator, model version and settings you selected, including aspect ratio when relevant. If the tool offers a seed, record it according to that tool’s documentation. A seed is not a universal guarantee of identical pictures, and its meaning can depend on the generator. Do not change model and lighting simultaneously then attribute every visual difference to the lighting phrase.

Compare against your brief

Judge both outputs using the question you wrote, rather than a vague sense of quality. Is the intended side of the subject lit? Has the framing stayed useful? Are there errors that make either image unsuitable? Generated outputs vary even under similar conditions. One pair is an example of what happened, not evidence that the same wording always causes the same result across people or services.

The anatomy of a photo-realistic image prompt

Save the decision and disclose synthetic work

Keep the version that better serves your brief, or revise the question if neither does. Preserve the prompt and generation notes with the output you intend to use. Describe examples as AI-generated when required and avoid presenting a fictional scene as an event you experienced. The camera and lighting guides explain terminology; this sheet helps you test a small wording change without promising photorealism or reproducibility. This guide is published by the app’s developer.

Questions

Does a fixed seed guarantee identical images?

No universal guarantee applies. Check the documentation for the generator and model you use.

Does LarpGPT generate these comparisons?

No. It supplies editable prompt text; generation happens in the separate service you choose.
