Privacy Policy
2026-10-13
Winter Arc is published by Roméo Gambino. This policy describes the local journal, optional features and Apple purchases managed with RevenueCat.
Journal and local storage
Cycles, commitments, drafts and workouts are stored in the app’s private space on your device. This version has no account or journal synchronisation service. The widget reads a local summary shared between the app and its extension.
You can review and edit entries, export a backup or erase the journal after confirmation in Settings. Previously exported or shared copies remain with their recipients. System backups depend on your iOS and iCloud settings.
Photos and video
Photos you choose or take with permission are saved as private JPEG files; source metadata is removed during import. You can delete a photo. The movie is created on your device using only available photos. Missing days receive no invented photos. Sharing requires your action; the destination you choose applies its own terms.
Health and reminders
Apple Health access is optional. The app reads the steps and sleep information you authorise when you open that feature. It does not write to Health or automatically check off commitments. Health measurements are not sent to RevenueCat. Reminders are local; permission is requested when you choose to enable them. You can revoke Health, camera and notification permissions in system settings.
Purchases and Pro access
Apple processes payments. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app identifier and technical and transaction information needed to manage purchases and verify Pro access, including products, receipts, dates and subscription status. These operations use the network; the journal, photos and Health data are not sent to the subscription service. This version provides RevenueCat with no name or email address and includes no advertising SDK. We do not receive payment details entered in Apple’s purchase flow.
Provider information is available in the Apple and RevenueCat privacy policies. Erasing the journal does not erase purchase records. Providers may retain those records for transaction management and their obligations; no fixed remote deletion period is promised here.
Your choices and requests
You choose what to add, export and share. Erasing the journal does not cancel an Apple subscription. Manage subscriptions in iOS Settings → your Apple Account → Subscriptions. For a data question or an access, correction or deletion request concerning purchase data, contact Winter Arc support. Do not attach photos, Health measurements or a complete journal unless necessary for your request.
Purposes and legal bases
Journal features and verification of purchased access provide the service you requested (performance of a contract). Optional Health features depend on your explicit choice and permissions you can revoke. Your support email is used to handle your request, based on our legitimate interest in providing service support. These data are not used for automated decisions that have legal effects on you.
Retention and service providers
Local entries remain on your device until you delete them; backups and exported copies follow your own settings and actions. Support messages are kept while handling the request and its necessary follow-up, then deleted unless a legal obligation or dispute requires retention. Purchase information is retained as necessary to verify access and manage transactions; Apple’s own obligations are described in its policy.
RevenueCat acts as a processor for the subscription data described here. Its infrastructure may process these data in the United States. Its Data Processing Addendum describes subprocessors and transfer safeguards, including standard contractual clauses for relevant transfers outside the European Economic Area. Your local journal, photos and Health measurements are not part of this transfer.
Exercising your rights
Subject to applicable legal conditions, you can request access, correction, erasure, portability, restriction of processing or object to processing. You can withdraw optional consent without affecting earlier processing. Contact winterarc@romeoapps.app; we normally respond within one month, with extensions allowed for complex requests. You can also complain to your data protection authority, including France’s CNIL.
