DuoTalk is in development

There is no public build yet. If you are testing a pre-release version, tell us the iPhone model, the iOS version, the language pair and the action that failed. Do not send private phrases or recordings unless strictly necessary.

Speech input does not work

Check that Microphone and Speech Recognition are allowed for DuoTalk in the iPhone Settings, then try typing a phrase first. Speech recognition availability varies by device, region and language.

A language pair is not ready

Apple Translation needs the resources for both languages on the iPhone. Download them in the iOS Settings for the Translate app, then try again. When a pair is not ready, DuoTalk says so instead of showing a fake translation.

The voice does not speak

Check the ring/silent switch and the volume, then the Spoken Content voices in the Accessibility settings. You can always read or copy the translation.

Privacy questions

The current version has no account and no DuoTalk server. The privacy policy describes what the app processes.
