Inspect NailSafe’s progress card before sharing and distinguish that image from stored hand photos and their deletion.

## Decide what you intend to share

A progress statistic, a hand photograph and an app screenshot reveal different information. Before opening a sharing destination, decide which one you actually want to send. NailSafe’s progress sharing control prepares a statistics card; it is not the same operation as selecting a hand photo. You can also keep your progress private.

## Inspect the progress card itself

The card is built from the recorded clean-day count, total days and Desk Mode alert count. It also includes NailSafe branding and an App Store address. Inspect the rendered image before sending it. These counters describe app records; they are not proof of nail healing, uninterrupted observation or a medical assessment.

## Check the sharing destination

Use the sharing sheet to choose the destination and verify the recipient before confirming. Apple describes different ways images can be shared, including nearby sharing and messaging. Review the image and any accompanying text or link in the destination. Sending a copy to another person or service creates a separate sharing decision; it is not merely viewing it inside NailSafe.

## Understand where progress photos fit

NailSafe saves progress hand photos as image files in its own Documents area and uses photo records for its progress view. The statistics card is rendered separately from those hand images. This storage detail does not establish that device backups are disabled or that no other copy exists. Avoid including unrelated screenshots with names or notifications if you only intend to share a counter.

## Delete a hand photo deliberately

The photo timeline offers a destructive delete action in the photo’s context menu. That action removes the corresponding image file and photo record from the app. Check which photo you selected before confirming a destructive action. Deleting an app photo is not a promise to erase an image already sent to a recipient, posted elsewhere or retained in a separate backup.

## Keep the claim as limited as the image

If you describe a shared card, say that it shows your recorded progress rather than claiming a cure or comparing yourself medically with another person. A Desk Mode alert count is not a complete count of every nail-biting episode. The purpose here is to make the sharing choice understandable.

## Questions

### Does the progress card include my hand photos?

The statistics card is rendered from progress counters, separately from the saved hand photos. Inspect the actual image and destination before sharing.

### Does deleting a photo erase a copy I already sent?

Do not assume that. The app’s delete action removes its corresponding file and record; copies outside the app are separate.
